Ope Ajayi has over 20 years business management, entertainment, advisory and entrepreneurship experience. He spent his early career working in the financial services sector at some of the leading investment banks in the country, including ARM Investment Managers Limited, First City Asset management limited & Synergy Capital Advisory Services Limited.
Ope joined Genesis Deluxe Cinemas in 2012 at its early growth stage as General Manager when the company was only operating 3 cinemas in the country. He was directly responsible for numerous projects including building & Fit out of 11 cinemas.
He has consulted and advised on many projects including Home Cinemas & Retail spaces. Whilst at Genesis Group, Mr Ajayi started Genesis Pictures, a leading film distribution business in Nigeria and in 2022 distributed the highest grossing film in the country, The Brotherhood.
He project managed the first ever multiplex in Douala, Cameroun. He is a notable voice and leader in the industry on major trends and in July 2022 became National President of the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria.
He is the Founder, CEO of Cinemax Distribution Limited, A company set up to provide integrated services across the various film sub-sectors from fund raising, advisory, infrastructure, local and International content sales.
